If you are a crab dish lover , then you can prepare it simply. Crab meat itself has a typical taste. Last day a friend of mine came and asked me to prepare Crab fry. We prepare crab (njandu) roast and crab curry usually. Blue crab is the best. So here i have added a quick recipe for crab fry. There are different types of making crab fry. This is a quick method even bachelors can also try. As a crab dish lover, i would suggest that - the less masala, the better taste - only for carb fry :-)
Ingredients
Crab : 250gms (one crab)
Turmeric powder : 1/4 tsp
Chilly powder : 1tsp
Coriander powder :1/2 tsp
Pepper powder : 1/2 tsp
Fennel seed powder - 1/2 - 3/4 tsp
Water : 2 to 3 tsp
Method
Remove the top shell covering and wash it. In a bowl put all the above mentioned spices and make a loose paste by adding little water. Take a small hammer and hit the legs, so that it breaks up slightly, so that masala will spread inside too. Apply the loose paste all over it and keep it for 15 min. Take a pan and heat it with 3 tbsp oil. Put the crab gently and close the pan with a lid. Put the fire on medium flame. Keep 4-5 min for each side. Remove the lid . You can see , now the crab is red in colour. Serve it hot
