Ingredients:
Crab – 250 gms
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Red chilly powder – 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek powder – 1 pinch
Fennel seed powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
Garlic – 4 pieces
Ginger – 1/4 inch 1 piece
Green chillies – 2
Kokum syrup - 1-2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Coconut – 1/2 cup grated
Water - 1 cup
Salt – to taste
Oil – 2 teaspoons
1. Clean crab with fresh water. Remove the small legs. Put it in a grinder with 1/2 cup water and grind it well. Strain it and keep it apart.
2. In a kadai, heat the grated coconut it it becomes golden brown. add chilly powder and corriander powder. stir it for one more minute. Take the content into the grinder and add little water and grind it to make a thick paste.
Take a flat kadai and heat the oil. Put crushed garlic, ginger and green chilly. Saute it for 1 min. Add the (2) coconut thick paste. Now add kokum syrup, garam masala, fennel seed powder, turmeric, fenugreek powder and allow it to boil.Next put the cleaned crab gently into the kadai. Pour (1) extracted juice of legs.
Cover with a lid and keep it in medium flame for 15 min. Inbetween stir gently. Garnish with Onion and corriander leaves. Serve hot with rice.
